What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach to healing that helps you build a more meaningful life, not by eliminating painful thoughts or feelings, but by changing how you relate to them.

Instead of getting stuck in self-doubt, overwhelm, or emotional struggle, ACT supports you in making space for your inner experience while gently turning your focus toward what truly matters to you. It’s about learning to live in alignment with your values—even when life feels messy or uncertain.

ACT isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you create a life that feels full, grounded, and true to who you are.

In my work with women, ACT provides a framework for addressing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity transitions, reproductive and perinatal mental health, grief, and relationship distress. Rather than focusing on eliminating symptoms, ACT helps clients develop a more open, accepting relationship with their inner experience and take meaningful action aligned with their values.

What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?

If you have had a traumatic event take place in your life or if you are plagued by daily images and thoughts that disturb your peace then ART is a great choice for you.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an innovative psychotherapy approach designed to efficiently address trauma-related conditions. Developed by Laney Rosenzweig, ART incorporates elements from cognitive-behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and guided imagery. Noteworthy for its rapid nature, ART employs visual dual processing, imagery rescripting, and cognitive restructuring techniques to facilitate the swift resolution of distressing memories. The therapy focuses on fostering positive outcomes, making it applicable to various mental health issues beyond trauma. ART's non-confrontational approach, combined with its potential for quicker relief, renders it an appealing option for individuals seeking transformative and efficient therapeutic interventions.

What is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy?

If you are struggling with depression or anxiety, if you have a hard time in relationships, or if you get stuck in your head and your emotions are dictating your behavior to your detriment, then DBT is a great choice for you.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy developed by psychologist Marsha Linehan. The term "dialectical" refers to the therapy’s focus on balancing and integrating opposing concepts, such as accepting oneself and one's situation while striving for change. DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and acceptance strategies to help individuals manage their emotions and improve their lives. The therapy is structured into several components: individual therapy to address personal issues and apply DBT skills, group skills training to teach mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, phone coaching for real-time support between sessions, and a therapist consultation team to support practitioners. This structured approach helps individuals develop practical skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships, making DBT a highly effective treatment with strong empirical support.

Yoga Therapy Program

If your body feels like a foreign land, and you have no idea what it wants or how to love it then Yoga therapy could be a wonderful choice.

Beautiful and Beloved Therapy is teaming up with Balanced Studio in Palmer Lake for a 6-session Chakra Clearing Program, a holistic journey designed to align and balance the body's energy centers through an integrative approach that combines yoga, sound therapy, meditation, breathwork, Reiki, and psychotherapy. Participants engage in tailored yoga sessions that focus on poses and movements associated with each chakra, accompanied by resonant sound frequencies and guided meditations to deepen the energetic connection. Breathwork techniques enhance the release of blockages, and Reiki sessions amplify the flow of healing energy. The program also includes psychotherapeutic elements, providing a space for self-reflection and emotional processing. Participants are supported in exploring and addressing any mental or emotional patterns that may be contributing to imbalances. This comprehensive and synergistic approach aims to promote overall well-being, self-awareness, and a harmonious alignment of mind, body, and spirit by the program's conclusion.
